Aspen care Home

Aspen Care Home had been facing rising operational costs as energy prices soared, significantly impacting their profitability. As a care facility with high electricity demands for heating, lighting, and essential services, finding a reliable and sustainable energy solution was a top priority. To help protect the business from current and future energy price increases, SLC Solutions designed and installed a comprehensive solar and battery storage system tailored to their usage patterns and operational needs.

31 Dalmeny Road - Southbourne Overcliff

Peter’s property in Southbourne Overcliff enjoys an ideal south-facing roof, providing maximum exposure to sunlight throughout the day. Following the removal of his gas boiler and switch to electric heating and hot water, his household electricity usage increased significantly — making solar a perfect solution to reduce running costs and reliance on the grid.

6 Lavender Way

After initially contacting SLC Solutions for an EV charger installation, the homeowners at 6 Lavender Way expressed interest in going further with solar and battery storage. During our visit, they mentioned their roof needed replacing before any solar work could be carried out.

We explained that by completing both the roof replacement and solar installation at the same time, they could benefit from a 20% cost saving on the roofing work due to the solar system’s 0% VAT incentive. They loved the idea — and decided to proceed with a combined, integrated project for maximum efficiency and value.

15 Bridleways

Our relationship with Victor and Liz at 15 Bridleways began when we surveyed their property for an EV charger installation. During our discussions, we explored how combining solar and battery storage could further enhance their energy independence and allow them to charge their EV directly from solar power — a real long-term saving advantage.
Following this, we installed a Hypervolt EV charger, fully compatible with solar integration, and designed a complete renewable energy system to meet their household and EV charging needs efficiently.

Kings Avenue

This was one of two new build developments which we carried out the full electrical installation. We also installed an EV charger to future proof the homes. These energy efficient properties have an A rated EPC rating. So we installed solar on the roof to help contribute to this. We work closely with the developers and the clients to ensure the best possible solution.

Littlestairs Road

This customer wanted to re roof their property. Which presented the opportunity of adding solar. As the roof was being completely stripped it made sense to also integrate the panels. This project has 9 panels in total which all have optimisation due to the panels being on different orientations and some shading issues. We installed a 5kWh battery to store that excess energy so they can power their home at night. Estimated savings are £804 per year.

Old Granary Lane

The objective here was to reduce this customers bills. They have huge consumption as they have an EV, Sauna and outdoor office. We installed 18 440w panels, all of which were optimised. These panels feed into a Fox Ess hybrid inverter. Which we then attached a 10.36kWh DC coupled battery. We also installed a Zappi EV charger which talks to the solar and charges the vehicle with any surplus solar generation. Estimated savings are £1264 per year.

Western Road

This was a new build development. We had a clear objective from the customer and that was to make the house as self sufficient as possible. So we maxed out the roof with 24 panels. We also decided that Solar Edge would be the right solution due to the nearby trees creating shading on the roof. This ensures maximum efficiency in these environments. We also fitted 20kWh of battery storage to power this super home at night. Estimated savings are £2200 per year
